It's very possible. With the huge weekend Sex and the City had, producers and those in the New Line circle are looking towards the future. Those producers are "exercising the sequel option in all of the stars’ contracts. They want it to be a franchise and think they can stretch it over at least a trilogy." (The Daily Mail). A trilogy? I can see it now: Sex and the City 2: Electric Boogaloo. And Sex and the City 3: Attack of Samantha's Bones. You know what I mean by "bones".
How successful could the sequels be? Probably not very. There is an installed Sex and the City fanbase and those fans will support those movies, but did you notice how dramatically the box office numbers went down? From $55 million to $21 million. If it doesn't even break the $100 million mark in a couple months, I think the producers should forget about any sequels. Despite liking the movie, I don't think a movie series of Sex and the City could prove as successful as The Matrix or The Lord of thh Rings. Check out my Sex and the City Review.
So if there are some sequels I have listed below some possible plot lines:

So if there are some sequels I have listed below some possible plot lines:
- It's three more years later and Carrie and Big have two daughters together. Big has quit his job to become Mr. Mom and to pursue his dream of being a stand-up comedian.
- Samantha becomes celibate. (Yeah, right.)
- Charlotte and Harry start a burlesque act that involves a horse, a bike, and the occassional bag of peanuts.
- Miranda becomes a cold, vindictive woman towards Steve. (Wait, that one's been done).
- Miranda doesn't change.
I'm sure the producers have different ideas of how the sequels should go, but those would be cool. Honestly, I hope Samantha never gives up sex.
